Baby Chicks - 3 weeks old

They are 3 weeks old now. They are starting to get black and white feathers. Just like their mom and dad!His feet are a little to big for his body!

Blake loves helping Brock. If Brock is out of town, Blake is my man to feed and tend to the chickens. He loves to do it and does a wonderful job. He has learned so much since we moved to Brantley. He is interested in everything Brock does.

Baby Chicks When They Were 2 Weeks Old

It is amazing how fast baby chicks grow. Now we are able to hold them. Adam and Blake love holding them. Me, I do not touch them!

Now It's My Turn!

1.What is his name? Steven "Brock" Beck
2. Who eats more? Probably him, but I hold my own pretty well.
3. Who said, "I love you" first? He did. And then I didn't say it back for a week!
4. Who is taller? Brock, but just by a bit~
5. Who is more sensitive? I am definitely.
6. Who does the laundry? Brock gathers the clothes, separates them, washes, and dries the clothes. Adam and Blake fold the towels. I fold the rest. Everyone puts up their own clothes. There are some clothes of mine that have special instructions, but he listens well!
7. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Brock does.
8. Who pays the bills? I do!! I am the saver, Brock is the spender.
9. Who cooks more? I do, but he grills the best ribs I've ever had.
10. Who is more stubborn? That would be my wonderful husband, Brock.
11. Who is the first to admit they are wrong? No question again, my sweet husband. But sometimes, I think he just says that he is wrong so we will stop arguing.
12. Who has more siblings? No doubt, that would be me. I have 4 brothers and 5 sisters. He has 2 brothers.
13. Who wears the pants in the relationship? I guess this question is about equal. I try to be submissive as possible!
14. What do you like to do together? We like to do anything together. A lot of people said travel. That would be true for me, not for him. Well, I take that back. If we were traveling to go duck hunting, he would love it!
15. Who eats more sweets? I do.
16. Guilty Pleasures? Brock stays on the computer. One day me, Adam, and Blake were on our way home and Adam said, "I bet I know what Brock is doing". I said, "What?" He said, "On the computer!" My guilty pleasure is HGTV.
17. How did you meet? Kim Brook thought that we would make a good couple. So, she set up a blind date at Pizza Hut. It was me, Brock, Kim, Paige(my sister), and Melissa. The rest is history. Thanks Kim!
18. Who asked whom out first? Well, after the first group gathering, Brock asked me out.
20. Who proposed? He did. At my house. He was so nervous. I had no idea he was going to propose, but then after he did I thought back about how he was acting. I should have seen it coming! But, I am not observant at all.
21. His best features and qualities? Well, there are those good looks of course. He is hard working, wife-spoiling, and the BEST dad to Adam and Blake. He teaches them everything!
22. Tag you’re it. Who do you tag? Mandy Hilson, Shonna Reeves, and I think everyone has already been tagged.

Monster Truck Show

This was our first ever Monster Truck Show. We went to Montgomery on Saturday, January 10th. There were six Monster Truck that raced and jumped cars. Adam and Blake thought it was the best thing ever.
When we were walking up to the coliseum, they did not want to put on the ear muffs. They thought they were to big and not in style. Even though the color matched their shirt's, they are extremely conscience about their looks. But, as soon as we heard a truck crank up while we were standing in line, they wanted the ear muffs immediately! Then style did not matter to them any more.
Not sure what is going to happen!?

Adam will always stop and smile for the camera.
The purple truck is Magic Mopar. The blue truck is Storm Crusher. The black truck is Rock Star. Rock Star won every race and had the highest jumps. One time, he almost flipped over backwards! I started to panic, but he is a very good driver and switched it to reverse and made his truck land on the tires, thankfully.

Killer Bee, Storm Damage, and Miss. Behavin' (left to right)
Miss. Behavin' is the first female driver in this Monster Truck Division. I do not know what division that is, but she is CRAZY.

This is Storm Damage doing donuts during the donut competition. Adam wanted to take a picture. He caught this truck on two wheels. What a great picture, Adam!!
During breaks for the trucks there were four-wheeler racing. A team from Alabama and a team from Florida. Florida won one race, and Alabama won two races. Adam and Blake thought it was neat to see them race, but it was not the best part of the show. The best part to them was the dirt bike tricks. The riders would ride up a ramp and do tricks in the air, and then regain control and land on another ramp. If they missed, something would go majorly wrong. They would have landed on the concrete floor of the coliseum. I was nervous. They would do handstands on their bikes in mid air! Some would even do a no-hander! I am thinking the entire time, "Oh, good, teach Adam and Blake another trick that they can try on their bikes at home!" Yes, Adam and Blake are both trying new stunts on their bikes that they got for Christmas. Boys will be boys. We really had a great time. It was fun spending time together doing something that everyone could enjoy, and that was not on the usuall list of fun things.
God has blessed us with a great family.

Farmer Brock

Brock loves to tend to animals. We have quail, chickens, ducks, dogs, and kids! The most exciting Christmas present was from God, baby chicks! They are so cute and fluffy.

The quail are yummy to eat! They really aren't good for anything else, except for aggravating me when they start flying around when I go in the chicken pin. I think they are going to land on me or something. So needless to say, I don't go in there much

The chickens are so pretty. They are Barred Rock Chickens. If you go in the pin with flip-flops on, they will try to peck your toes. Another reason I don't go in there!

These are the 19 baby chicks. They were hatched December 26, 2008. Mama hen sat on 22 eggs and 19 hatched.

Lastly, our Mallards. We have 4 males and 4 females. They have started flying around. It is the neatest thing to see. They will cricle around our house. When they fly over the pond the will quack really loud. One duck cannot fly. So, he runs around in a panic until everyone comes back.
We really enjoy living the farm life. I have learned so much about chickens, ducks, and quail.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas for our family is the entire month of December. We had Christmas with Brock's mom first. Adam and Blake got the best tool set. The rest of the afternoon all you heard was tap, tap , tap, from their hammers. They found some nails and an old board and had a blast. Thankfully, nobody has smashed finger YET!
Then, we had Christmas with my niece, Britni, and her family. Hunner is 6 months old, and all he wanted was the paper to eat. He has the cutest smile.
My mom(GiGi) and Hunner
Christmas Eve was so exciting, but different. My sister Paige and Michael were not with us. I can't remember when we had Christmas without them. They decided to go to Gatlinburg, TN for Christmas. Paige said that it was beautiful. Gatlinburg was covered in lights. Even though Paige and Michael were not with us we still had to get ready for Santa Claus. Adam and Blake were not to much into Santa this year. They didn't want to sit in his lap and they didn't really care about making cookies for him(they wanted to eat them all). Brock and I have tried to put more emphasis on Jesus this year.

Did we hear reindeer?

Blake's favorite present was a pair of cowboy boots. After he finished opening up presents, he went into his room, put on blue jeans, a plaid shirt, boots, and hat. He was precious.
