Hopewell Baptist Fall Festival 2008

Blake was a cowboy. Adam was a karate kid. At the fall festival there was probably 20 bags of candy given out, and Adam and Blake did not bring home any because they would not stay off of the slide, the pony's, or the hay rides. I am sure they played the games, but probably ate the candy right away. A good time was had by all.

Going to the County Fair October 2008

Blake, a friend that we met at the fair, and Adam are riding their first big ride at the fair. As you can see, Adam is excited, but the friend and Blake are not sure what they are about to get into!
Adam and Blake rode the dragon roller coaster for the first time this year. It is so funny to watch them grow up and each of them develop their own personalities. Adam is scared at first on the roller coaster, but Blake is throwing his hands up.

Hunting

First 410 Shotgun

This was the first time Adam and Blake shot their very own 410 shotgun! My little boys are growing up so fast. We went to Dothan Saturday, October 11th and bought the guns. We came back and shot them. Adam shot first and then Blake. They were scared and nervous. They repeated asked, "Is it going to be loud?" Even though they have shot their shotgun, everytime they shoot their shotgun now, "Is it going to be loud?"

Going Dove Hunting

Papa, Brock, Adam, and Blake went dove hunting in October 12, 2008. Papa shot two doves, but they could only find one. That particular hunting trip, Blake had his first encounter with an elletrical fence. He grabbed the fence to climb over it, and he said, "Then it tightened my whole body up, and almost broke my arm!" They were very excited to go hunting. If they could go every day, I think they would.

Deer Hunting - Opening Weekend 2008

Blake and Adam went hunting with Brock and Papa at Papa's hunting camp on November 22, 2008. Blake went with Brock. They climbed up in the deer stand, and Blake said, "Where's the deer?" He didn't realize that he was going to have to wait! He then decided to take an hour long nap. He is my kind of hunter. Adam went with Papa and Adam could not sit still. They were two loud to see any deer, but Brock and Blake saw 6 deer. Brock was going to shoot one but Blake was so scared that the gun would be to loud. So, the deer ran away when Blake started moving around and asking, "Isit going to be to loud?" over and over. They are making memories and having a good time too.

Christmas Parade December 5, 2008

This year, for the Christmas parade, Blake wanted to watch the parade and Adam wanted to be in the parade. I help with the AMS Humane Society at school. That club was in the parade. So, me and Adam rode on the Humane Society float and Blake watched with Papa and LaLa. It was super cold! Brock was not here for the parade because he is duck
hunting in Arkansas.

Thanksgiving in Charleston, SC

The day after Thanksgiving, we went to Kiawah Island to see Santa Claus. Blake said he wanted a bike, a wallet, and a puppy. Santa said that he would have to talk to his mom and dad before he could bring a new puppy. Adam said he wanted a Wii and an Auburn football.
Hailey, my niece, said she wanted a pony and a unicorn!

Miller(the one standing next to Santa) said she wanted an art easel. She would not get in his lap. Nola, her sister, had no choice.

Nathan, my brother, and Brock went fishing Thanksgiving day. They came home with one fish! Brock claimed that he caught it, but then the truth came out. They didn't catch anything. They were fishing under a bridge and a man standing on the bridge caught this fish. He asked them if they wanted it. They said sure! The man said open the live well and he would ease the fish down. The next thing Brock knew was that he was about to be hit in the head with a fish if he didn't move. The man just dropped the fish in the boat. It was hillarious hearing them talked about their seven hour "boating" adventure because there was not a single fish caught.

This is Morrison Island. There is a light house that is being washed away by the ocean's current. They have been trying to restore the lighthouse for many years, but the current in the Atlantic Ocean is to powerful. We had a fun time picking up seashells and playing on the beach.
